    You are ABSOLUTELY correct!

Now is the time for all good citizens to come to the aid of all those citizens with only limited "too poor" and "too poorly paid" and "to ill or infirm" citizen's limited access to health care. These categories of citizens' limited access are Medicaid, hospital emergency rooms, CHIPS, and ALL without any reasonable cost access to medicines.

The cycle is well documented and is known to lead to ever greater illness from what is a preventable disease, EXCEPT these worthy USofA citizens don't have access to image screenings or routine blood screenings or pap smears, etc. So, the "cost" of health care in DIRECTLY passed on to the taxpayer (Medicaid & Federal funding for care of the indigent to US hospitals, under Federal law) and to the employers who do still provide health insurance benefits to their employees (in the form of higher premiums, that have also been shifting to being deducted from their employees' paychecks).

I can go on . . . BUT you, Karoli, are well versed and knowledgable in this arena, unlike the majority of "glutonous" USofA actively employed with employer-paid health care access insurance. Those "glutonous" Americans expect a free ride by their employers to last, miraculously, FOREVER apparently.

In 3 years, without reforms, the typical high quality PPO/POS health premium for family coverage will meet or exceed $ 24,000 annually. So, how can any business that must generate profits for it stockholders and hope to maintain quality employees by paying competitive salaries and bonuses, possibly afford health insurance benefits for a receptionist, an engineer, a clerk, a salesperson, a custodian, a digital arts software programmer, a dietician, a nurse, a accountant, a factory laborer, a roofer, or a ditch digger in our wonderful nation??????? ! They won't at that point the employers will announce that they can't compete internationally against other nations' businesses who only pay taxes for "Equitable Health Care & Rx Access" for their employees and employees' families.

Any saavy business exec will tell you in private that this is true today. If her competitor in town ISN'T providing health benefits, they can't continue to compete against her pricing. Why? Because that competitor simply doesn't pay $150,000 in health premiums for her 20 employees. Instead, she learned to NOT provid group insurance and pay higher wages/salaries. Her employees are expected to get their coverage through their spouses' employers, or buy it individually if they feel they really need it. If they don't like that, they are free to go to competitor for a job and receive health insurance coverage, but MUCH LOWER wages.

The dumb drum beat goes on and on and on and on for all these ostriches who shove their heads in the ground and refuse to look out for their own, their family's, and their nation's best interest. That would mathematically be, without denial (but with lots of lies from the insurance protection crowd and the wing-nut Rush "LimpNoodle" and Bill "Oh, I'm really lying again" crowd that just wants to Waterboard everybody, except their beloved Tricky Dicky Cheney!
