I was determined to do it no matter what, and it seems like once I made that commitment, good things just started happening. I "met" Connie from GM and she really got it & sold it to her colleagues. I was excited to see how many people were excited for me. I really feel like I'm traveling with a team now...like there are people traveling with me. I couldn't have predicted the reaction -- and it's humbling. I really want to do a great job & earn the support I'm getting.

Thank you for such a great post, Karoli, and for your support! It's your voice and the voices of others that keep those "other" voices at bay!

Re: Finding America; Finding Dreams

Just saw the pic of the Camaro, Connie. It's awesome. Having been the beneficiary of GM's loan program, I'm excited to see how Jane likes the vehicles. I loved the hybrid I drove to BlogHer '07. Though it was too big for me to consider owning, I've been anxiously awaiting the release of the Volt...and hoping I'll get to be a tester/blogger when it finally comes out. Right now we're sharing a Prius between my husband and I, but the Volt looks ready-made for me. I was (and am) really impressed by the hybrid technology you all are bringing onto the market. Can't wait.

Re: Finding America; Finding Dreams

Nice nod to your brave friend Jane -- I've had the pleasure of working with her since late Sept to ensure she is well equipped for a long road trip in a series of GMC and Chevy vehicles. She took off in a GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid, and will switch into a hot new Chevy Camaro tomorrow. I hope more people follow along with Jane's journey, as she is an amazing story teller.
