It made my holiday, and I'm so glad it worked out for you, too.

Karoli

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

I would like to say a 'huge' Thankyou to Karoli and all the other kind hearted generous people who have gone out of their way to help me get back online through your donations, which was able to go towards me purchasing another laptop :))

I will pass this good deed on i promise, when the time is right and someone else is in need...

Isn't that what life is about, helping and being there for each other, through the good and the bad times.

Some of you might not know me personally , but your act of kindness has not gone unnoticed :))

For me the flickr community is so special and fulfilling , and i hope i can pass on my good will to others through it ....

I am a strong believer in angels being among us here on Earth.

Kind Regards

Jules xx

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

You all rock. :)

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

Hi,
I want to assist Jules in some way...I can send $50.00 american dollars. I have no idea about the conversion rate. Just let me know what I can do. Jules has been such an inspiration to so many of us and I find I miss her photos and comments very much. I am also in the United States. Thanks for doing this for her!

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

Jules is a special Flickr friend of mine too and Im happy to help donate to get her back up and running. I have a paypal account that I find easy to use - I will suggest to Jules that she opens one (its free) but she will lose a little of the money she receives to pay for the service. Let me know if you come up with anything better though. Maybe....an online laptop seller would accept little payments and keep them till they add up to a new laptop and then ship it direct to her? Just a thought.

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

Thanks to everyone who has emailed or posted comments here. I did get hold of Jules via her personal email address and am in the process of putting together a paypal link to help her out.

I know that she's really appreciative and overwhelmed by everyone's generosity, and I should have more information available later on today. :)

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

Any new info?

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

I am willing to donate $50. cdn which is equivalent to aus $ at the moment.
Let me know if you go ahead and how to do it.
Anne

Re: Frustrating limits of online communities

I'm certainly willing to help Jules out too if you figure out a way I've never heard of Payperpost!
