Seriously, this was so much harder than I thought it would be, and it's not great for the camera either. I used the Canon's superzoom feature, which means you have to place the camera 3 inches or less away from the subject. I put it on a little mini tripod and got it all set up, then dropped the lemon with the left hand, hitting the shutter with the right hand.
Getting the settings right about drove me nuts. I used the flash, shutter priority at 1/1250, aperture set at 2.7. Still, I tossed 48 and kept 2. This is the best of the two, and it's still not really what I want.
Oh, the glass I used was a shallow one with a heavy bottom to it that was pretty reflective. I used the lighter bathroom tile as the background -- on the icky brown kitchen tile it just looked...icky.

He was shot at f2.5 - 8
every shutter speed my camera has.
ISO 64 - 1000
He sat next to Mr. Clock and Mr. Metronom (spelling ?)
And he stood in front of Mr. Tiny Bicycle.
His little green stem whittered. I am sure the be kind to lemons awareness group will be after me LOL
The one thing I discovered is that the Sony is not that consistant. For example when using aperture priority mode on the tripod with no changes at all Mr. Sony did not select the same shutter and ISO settings each time even when the shots were taken 15 seconds or so apart. The camera also really has a major purple fringe thing going on LOL.

I know what I do not know about photography is great but I swear this camera and I are never going to have a long and warm relationship! At least it should cooperate a bit when in total automatic mode eh? Too much light - purple, zoom in all the way - purple, look up and take a picture on a cloudy day of the tree branches - purple. Open the shutter up for a nite shot - purple. noise and purple fringing even at midrange apertures.
Great camera for vacation type shots but after that - augh!!!
