A city block in size, with used paperbacks next to leather bound brand new hardcovers of the same book. It's been years since we were there but it stood out. Plus it may be too late but there was some very good rose gardens, not sure where... And take a trolly ride downtown.

Re: Portland Suggestions?

I would definitely do a little tax free shopping and where you are staying is the Lloyd Center mall area so it is perfect. If only it was June and you could see the Rose Festival. For restaurants it depends on the kind of food that you like? I really like the Reinlander German Restaurant it is awesome. I just received the Portland Monthly magazine and they have a whole list of restaurants in there with descriptions, ratings and locations of the restaurants in Porland. I really love it there I am sure you will have a good time. Send me a flickr email if you want anymore suggestions.

Re: Portland Suggestions?

no suggestions since I've never been, but boy does that sound like fun...Portland and the train ride!
