Shake your fists, then get real
ATTENTION MAC CRAWFORD:
Because some alleged doctor in your organization last year decided to halve the dosage of the drug I was taking, Enbrel, so it was no longer effective in treating my condition, psioriatic arthritis, and I was forced to try other medications. This was decided by someone who never bothered to review my medical history and knows absolutely about my particular problems. I have tried a number of medications since then and none have worked. I once again have scaled, cracked, peeling, and bleeding lesions all over my body and my joints and back ache constantly. I leave visible pieces of me where ever I go. My doctor has called submitted written appeals on a number of occasions to restore my dosage that have been either denied or ignored completely.. In the past few months, I have called your customer service department to be told this decision was Blue Cross's, not Caremark's. Blue Cross has then told me it was Caremark's decision. The benefits administrator where I work has been similarly stonewalled.
This week, I called Enbrel's customer service line to see if they could help at all. They contacted your company and another rep called me today and told me the solution was that my doctor should submit an appeal. Barely containing my anger, I told her that this has already been a number of times with zero results. She pretty much told me nothing else could be done and ended the call.
I have just reviewed your company's guiding values that are posted on your web site. I have to say, and please excuse my language, that I think they are complete and utter bullshit compared to the reality of what I have been forced to go through just trying to get the medication and relief I need.
I'm not asking for Viagra, Minoxodil, or heavy narcotics. I'm sorry it's so expensive and that providing it to me cuts into your profit margin, but I did not ask to be afflicted with this condition. Are you going to live up to your obligations and help me? Or do I need to take more drastic measures like contacting my local media or setting a website up to get my story out the public? Like this one I found?:

I don't want to. But I don't know what else to do at this point. I'm desperate. Please do the right thing.
Well said! I think I am going to post it as my next post, just to be sure everyone sees it.
