odd time signatures: Scam Update: Automotive Warranty Advisors Still At It

  • Avril · 2 years ago
I just wanted to say that I bought a warranty from this company about 6 months ago. I had a wonderful salesman whose name was something like Kievy??? Anyway, he explained everything to me and when I had a little trouble at the dealership, he personally helped me sort it out. I know it isn't cheap, but considering I am on the road so much as a salesperson, it is worth every penny. I have even had my family get warranties on their cars!

I'm glad you have had a good experience so far. I only hope that when their commitment to you comes due that they actually hold up their end. I was lied to and lost a great deal of money because of this scam.

PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE! I tried to cancel my contract with these people, the man got MAD, argued with me in a very rude way, told me I had to call another number to cancel, I tried that number, was given another number and nobody answered that one. Got another number again and it was the original number. NObody was home!! I had to cancel my credit card to get out from under this, after losing $199.00. Expensive lesson learned~ I'm speaking of automotive warranty advisors.

I am reading these posted comments and i can see none of you ever sold anything. probably all a bunch of burocrats that depend on other people that work for a living and sell something that PAYS YOUR SALALRY.SALES ARE NOT MADE WITH I'LLL CALL YOU BACK,AND LET ME TALK TO MY WIFE,BROTHER SISTER,FATHER and all those other b.s. excuses people say to avoid the inevitable. You called to get a warranty and you know you need it. OR do you like to get hosed at the repair shop!!
What is wrong with you people. I remember when i used to fix my car and get my rearend kicked every time i needed to repair my car.
all credit cars have fraud protection! how do you expect to pay for the policy if you don't give them your credit card.the reason you need to make your decision is so you can get the best coverage at the lowest possible price the older the car gets and more miles you put on it the more expensive the less coverage you get.
Is it possible to reach a unhelpful person that is having a bad day yes it is ask to speak to a manager, and get the help you need.or hang up and get another representative. In the end there is no scam they are a real company offering a real service that most people really need. Don't pay any attention to any of these people they donot have a clue about what they are talking about I DO.

Lol. I just received yet another 'official' notice from the newly reinvented automotive warranty advisors telling me I *must* call today to be in compliance. Don't get all high and mighty about the fact that people call when your sales crap is intended to make them believe you have authority you don't.

These things are scams, plain and simple.

I'd like to think that the experiences of hundreds (probably thousands) of people wiegh a lot more than your own supposed "knowledge." You're going to tell these people that this Automotive Warranty Advisors company is legit!? Let me ask a question, why are sales not made with the I'll call you back? I will admit that many people say that to get out of buying, but perhaps you didn't think about the people who actually are interested, but they need to speak with their spouses or family about purchasing a $3000 pile of bull.

How can this company, especially since it is supposed to offer extended warranties, be legit when they do not even come out and inspect the cars. Suppose I had a 2001 Honda with 100,000 miles on it that has a busted engine. I call this company, buy a policy then wait a couple days or weeks and make a claim to get it repaired. Now do you really think they are going to cover it? I don't think so.

Let's also consider the fact that this company will call you constantly and when you ask to be removed from their calling list they will continue to call you. This is even after your name is on the National Do Not Call list. That's illegal. Unless you have business with this company, they have no right to try and solicit you over the phone.

You sound just like your an actual employee for this company, which is pretty sad.

I encourage everyone to watch this video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBIm40Nb-tc&feat...

If the link doesn't work go to Youtube and type in Extended Auto Warranty Scam Part 1. It actually sounds as though the above poster was the salesman in this call.

IF YOU DON'T WANT WARRANTY COVERAGE DON'T CALL! PAY FOR YOUR REPAIR BILLS OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET.JUST SKIP THE RENT OR CUT DOWN ON THE FOOD BILL THAT MONTH OR PUT IT ON YOUR CREDIT CARD AND GET HOSED FOR THE INTEREST AND FINANCE CHARGES ON THE REPAIR. GOOD LUCK YOU WILL SURELY NEED IT! IF YOU BELIEVE IN LUCK.

A scam is telling me my warranty will expire when it has 4 years left on it. Your sales pitches are a lie and it is a scam to use scare tactics to sell people something they don't need.

Received their **EXTREMELY URGENT CA;; NOW TIME SENSITIVE** expiring warranty letter that has no vin#/mileage/make and model of a vehicle that they claim is expiring or about to expire. But that's not the worst part of this, I received 3 Final Notices/expiring offer and each time filed a complaint with the SEFLORIDABBB.ORG about this false claiming expiring warranty company and the SEFLORIDABBB doesn't think this Final Notice false claiming letter has anything wrong with it and sides with this "ACCREDITED" company that is 'paying the SEFLORIDABBB' to be listed as a C rating. It's the FOX GUARDING THE HEN HOUSE HERE. So I asked how many FINAL NOTICES does it take before it is a FINAL NOTICE? I thought FINAL meant no more notices after this one, does it mean something else? And how can they make statements that my warranty is expired or about to expire soon when I have 2 more years and mileage is no where near being expired? **The company will not give out where they got my info from but did say that some government survay said US people have at least 2 vehicles per household** "SO FLOOD THE SEFLORIDABBB.ORG WITH YOUR COMPLAINTS AGAINST THIS AUTOMOTIVE WARRANTY ADVISORS THAT ACCORDING TO THEM IS DOING NOTHING WRONG BY SENDING OUT THESE FALSE CLAIM WARRANTY LETTERS " and let's see what they say after all of us keep filling complaints against this telemarketing warranty scheme. Voice your frustration on this unscrupulous company today don't let them get away with this scheme.

    Hello:

I stumbled upon your blog via google, and I have to say it was very informative. I just wish I could have stumbled upon it sooner. I saw an advertisement for stoprepairbills.com on the television, and decided to inquire about the company. I just wanted initial information. The salesperson kept harassing me to get the policy. He wanted my credit card information or savings account number, which was odd to me. After I asked him about sending me some preliminary information, for free, he said that it was impossible. He was just working at a call center. After a time I told him I couldn't afford payments at the time, and then he put his floor manager on the line, and then he lowered my initial fee, and the monthly fee. Then after more time, I did give him my address and name, but nothing else. After hanging up on him (only way to end the call), I called my local police, and they told me to check the free credit report companies because a lot of times these companies will use that info to still get your information.

Even while I'm typing this to you, I am watching TV, and within just ONE commercial period, I saw three commercials from companies wanting to sell car repair insurance! Unbelievable! What do they do?? Target housewives, and naive college kids at home?!?

I'm so sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to thank you for the post, and wanted to ask you if you had any other advise.

    Thanks,
    Shar
