Shake your fists, then get real
Yesterday the Consumnes River levy break was about 8 miles south of us. Today there have been five breaches, breaks, as of noon but they water seems to be flooding mostly farmlands. The news is showing the latest break at the moment.
We are at 23ft. elevation and two stories, so if the Sacramento levee goes we should be ok as it is about five miles away. My parents are five blocks away from the levee of the Sac. river. at an elevation of 5 feet so that is where my concerns are directed. Sacramento Valley blub blub... great time for rubber duckies!
Great creative idea - storm in a bottle - love the color contrast! The reflection is awesome.
This photo was pure frustration -- Every single time there was a break in the rain and I'd dare to go out and walk the dog or just smell fresh air, the sky would open and drench me. When it did it for the zillionth time yesterday, I decided to play with the bottle and reflection and at least get a photo out of being cold and wet.
I have a blue bottle too, but I blew the focus on it and didn't feel like trying it again after that.
Welcome back!
