To calm my mind, I took off for the beach on Sunday. The election has been one constant mind-sucking hyperfocused long haul. Being able to take pictures, listen to the surf, and enjoy the post-storm turbulence was a good thing for me to do.

    I can really, really relate to how you are feeling right now. I am completely spent... utterly exhausted and drained. I truly hope this gets better.

    It will. It's been the better part of a year. Every morning waking up in fight mode. The primaries were exhausting; the national campaign was only 2 months long but felt like a century. The adrenaline is addicting and exhausting. As an ADHD type, I'm on the hunt for more, which for now is to see how well and fast I can get caught up on work and back into a groove again. :)
